Who is the Dilettantista?
Lindsay Heather Gordon, also known as The Dilettantista, knows that deus ex machina only happens in theater, but deus rex machina can happen anytime, anywhere. She has many obsessions, such as Captain Eo, Meat Loaf’s “I Would Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)”, contemporary art, grilled cheese, Stephen Sondheim, Joss Whedon, science fiction and epic fantasy; she would much rather know many tidbits about many subjects than know everything about one subject, which is why she left graduate school after finishing her Master’s in art history. She lives with her boyfriend and two black cats in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and she currently works for an arts non-profit in downtown Durham.

Thanks! I loved the costume, I’m reprising it at this year’s Dragon*Con but with these crazy ice blue contacts that are just amazing. I’m glad you like it!

Is there any chance our small non-profit organization could use your pumpkins-at-the-fair photo in a picture set for reminiscence? Please let me know, if you would be so kind.

Please go ahead! Thanks for asking.
I work for a non-profit too, we have to keep an eye on each other.
