Went to the Central Park Zoo today, after the gym and a bit of errand running. Summer is here y’all: it is hot and humid outside, and I am sweaty. I’m sure you wanted to know that. Highlights of the zoo were the polar bear and penguins, catching the sea lion feeding, adorable snow monkey baby, and actually getting a peek of the snow leopard. Unfortunate aspects of the zoo mostly involved a glut of small children. I also witnessed a large ball python totally massacring a rat. It was pretty awesome. Anyhow, I took a lot of pictures, so i’ll just launch into those.

I also was right by the Delacorte clock at 4:30, so I heard the bells toll and saw the little animals go around in a circle. The clock is near a tunnel with a sound installation by the artist John Morton, so I heard some of that too. Yay for unusual public art in Central Park!

I hadn’t been to the Central Park zoo since I was six (I’m guessing) so it was nice to visit. A lovely zoo in a lovely park, though I do worry that some of the animals don’t have enough space! Presumably the park deals with that sort of thing, howevers, so I’m sure all is fine. Hopefully.
Tonight, off to Koreatown for dinner a gay bar for Musical Monday, where they show clips of big diva moments in musical films, and everyone sings along. No, really.
