Martha Stewart is, of course, the queen of Halloween. Starting in September I spend hours on the Halloween section of her website, looking at party ideas and craft ideas and food ideas and generally getting pretty excited and pretty overwhelmed.
I’m going to start the Martha ball rolling with some easy Halloween crafts, some of which I’ve done myself, some of which I want to do. The key word here, again, is easy:
This one is super easy! I made tons of these last year. All you need to black construction paper, a white pencil, some scissors, and some double-sided tape. Of course now that I have a real black kitty they will probably have less of an effect. I saved most of them and so plan to put them up all over the place, although I’ll have to set them out of reach of Dexter.
For the recycle-minded among us! Also easy, just save your tin cans. I don’t like the colors I painted mine last year (lots of neons!) but they are a cute, fun, and inexpensive way to make lanterns for your Halloween party or to light the way up to your door on Halloween!
I didn’t do this one last year because I didn’t have a hot glue gun, but now I do! All you need is a clean surface and some raven figures and you’re set.
I didn’t make these with a clothespin last year, I just cut out black bats and taped them all around the house (similar to what I did with the black cats). Easy and inexpensive, and, again, you can reuse them!
These are pretty and creepy! If you already have silk flowers in your home this is an easy way to make them Halloween-appropriate.
I so wanted to make these last year but there is only so much time and so much surface area in the house! Still, these are great and I hope to make them this year.
As you see, not every Martha craft is impossible. These are super easy and super fun, and will be a great way to add some personal spark to your Halloween party decorations this year!
